Auckland Wedding Venue Round Up #1
What’s up guys! It’s not easy to find a venue these days with so many great options, so I’m going to do a regular series “reviewing” some of the venues I have worked at Photographing your beautiful weddings here in Auckland, this list is also in no particular order, and I’ll only write about venues that I have had experience with and a good one at that!

So let’s get into it, here’s the first three venues for this week!
French Bay Yacht Club, Titirangi
Affordable, Local, DIY West Auckland Venue

I grew up in Titirangi, well, Laingholm to be exact, and I spent a lot of time at French Bay! The Yacht Club has been hiring its hall out for years and it’s such a great little spot if you’re on a budget. If you get in Monday-Thursday it’s sub $2000!
If you’re into the DIY thing and happy to decorate yourself then it’s definitely worth checking out. They have a full kitchen and bar that you can fill up yourself and then park a food truck out on the deck.
Great views when the tide comes in and the water flows directly under the outside deck where guests can hang out and talk about how nice the ceremony was. The beach itself is great for photos and there are some really nice parks in the area as well as Titirangi Village if you want some cool urban-type photos.
Markovina Estate, Kumeu
A one-stop shop, Markovina does it all, very well.

Markovina Estate is one of those classic venues in Kumeu, It’s been around for decades and it’s just one of the best. I reckon I’ve done 40ish weddings there and every time it goes smoothly thanks to the amazing staff, Rina and Mark are amazing and run it perfectly alongside the other staff there
One of the best things about Markovina is they are always updating and improving the grounds, It has one of the best wet weather options in the game, a fantastic brand-new outdoor area, SOO many options for ceremony locations and you can easily do all your bridal party photos on site if you dont really want to leave.
There’s a reason they are one of the most popular in Auckland, definitely worth checking out!
Bridgewater Estate, Kaukapakapa
Beautiful, secluded family feel with amazing ceremony locations

Every time I have worked (If you can call it that, the best job ever) at Bridgewater Estate I have had a great experience. The staff are great and it has a real honest family vibe to it. The location is out of the way enough to make it feel like you are far away from the city but not so far that your guests can’t get back to the city easily enough.
Justin and Tracey, a husband and wife team are just the best and have always looked after my couples in any way they can, as well as us vendors.
They have a nice little accommodation suite on-site if you want to get ready there or just sneak off when the event finishes and stay the night!
Great ceremony locations again and a beautiful little spot for cocktail hour with an outdoor bar and large lawn area for drinks games and the canopés from their amazing chef.
