Glasshouse Wedding Photos | Auckland Wedding Photographer
Sean and I got married at Glasshouse Morningside in early November 2020. This was our second attempt wedding after our first wedding was postponed from the March lockdown.
Sean and I would both describe ourselves as un-photogenic as we are pretty uncomfortable in front of a camera. It was really important to us to get a photographer that made us feel comfortable and didn’t make us ‘pose’ as the minute you ask us to smile we will immediately look awkward. We really liked how relaxed Chris was when we first met him and we’re so stoked with both our engagement and wedding photos. The emotion of the entire wedding day was captured so well and we never felt like we were posing.

Sean and I got married at Glasshouse Morningside in early November 2020. This was our second attempt wedding after our first wedding was postponed from the March lockdown.
We had the most spectacular day, well captured by Chris, and it ended up being all so worth the wait. Highlights included; a dance party as the girls got ready, the boys surfing at Takapuna beach on the morning of the wedding (Takapuna rarely gets swell!), Sean panic-mowing the lawns last minute, our puppy Nala sleeping very soundly on the floor during the ceremony and Sean crying as I walked down the aisle.
We worked with Floral Stylist Company, La Lumiere and the Glasshouse team to decorate the venue with bright flowers, lights and Japanese lanterns. Sean is from Japan originally and as many of his relatives were unable to attend we tried to thread through a bit of Japan into the wedding decorations to honour those that couldn’t be there.

The emotion of the entire wedding day was captured so well and we never felt like we were posing.
Another highlight was Chris insisting we had 15 minutes to relax and have drinks and nibbles with the bridal party before we started taking some group shots. That was the first time during the wedding that Sean and I had a moment to actually pause, properly talk to one another and think ‘omg we just got married’ amongst all the madness of the day.
A huge thanks to Chris for capturing our wedding day so well, we will cherish these photos forever.
